About Us

Scott Mathewson, CFP® - Founder and Managing Member Elevare LLC 

Scott has 35 years of hands-on experience modeling and projecting the potential emotional and financial outcomes of the estate plans of families of wealth. Most of that experience has come through the school of life with these families, collaboration with other professionals and personal study. 

His work helps these families have the conversations they need to have in order to build communication and trust, which leads to the clarity that allows them to take deliberate, purposeful steps in order to maximize the positive emotional and financial outcomes that are possible (with some dedicated effort) for generational family wealth transition. 

He works to help all family members thrive as the human and financial wealth of their family and purposeful stewardship transition from one generation to the next. He hates to see any family members left behind and he has found that this usually does not happen if the family builds trust and can communicate well. 

Before establishing Elevare LLC in 2016, he was a partner in the Wellspring Group for 25 years, first in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and then in Salt Lake City when he and his wife moved their family home to their Utah mountains to be closer to aging parents. 

With the help of some associates, Scott founded the Mountain West Family Office Forum in 2015, when he saw a need for a gathering in the Intermountain West that allowed families of wealth to come together to learn and share best practices.

Before starting his career, Scott graduated cum laude in Business Economics from Weber State University. 

Scott has a zest for adventure, especially in the mountains. When not working professionally or serving in church responsibilities, he is with his family or racing and riding his bicycles. He also enjoys working on and driving his 1965 Impala SS.
